FORT DRUM: THE SURGE

In 2009 with the war in Afghanistan failing, President Obama sends 30,000 additional U.S. troops to Afghanistan, known as the surge, to counter the resurgent Taliban. Our cameras were there to capture the tumultuous lives of the 10th Mountain Divisions active service members and their families deploy, return and deploy again.
