Tracey Connor's passion for compelling storytelling began thirty years ago when she was a novice television reporter given the assignment of interviewing a Holocaust survivor. It was this survivor’s story that would ultimately alter the trajectory of Tracey’s career. Stories of unfaltering strength, determination, and perseverance would begin to fill her roster of programs for the likes of History, A&E, PBS & Discovery. All the while, her deep love of research and determination to unearth never-before-seen gems from archives, personal collections and unsuspected hiding places around the world has made 43films one of the country's top archival content providers.
Sammy Jackson - Executive Producer. Director. Editor
Multi-award-winning filmmaker, Sammy Jackson, has been at the helm of critically acclaimed documentaries/series on History, A&E, Discovery, PBS, Amazon and Netflix. His work on the Emmy-winning series, WWII in HD, was groundbreaking in its use of archival imagery, cinematic narrative, editorial style, and unprecedented sound design in documentary programming. Known for producing, directing, writing and editing compelling, emotional stories on programs such as The Rape of Nanking, Eyewitness In Iraq, The Day The Towers Fell, Vietnam in HD, Homecoming, One Giant Leap and Against The Odds. His current projects, KILLING TRUTH, MONSTERS and DRAGONFIRE, further showcase Sammy's ability to present timely, relevant films that examine critically important social issues impacting our world today and in the foreseeable future.
Elaine Sharp - Research - Archive Producer
Elaine Sharp, a Sheffield Doc Fest Future Producer School Alumni, is a Producer/Director/Archive Producer on films spanning the globe. Her universal broadcast career spans two decades and she has been based in the UK, USA and Italy. She has worked on documentaries and content for major international Broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery, A&E, ABC, WNET/PBS, and Mediaset/RTI. Her recent credits as Archive Producer include “Sex, Lies and The College Cult” for Peacock, “Secrets of the Oligarch Wives” for Paramount Plus, “Tipping Point” for Amazon Prime, “Italia 90” for Sky Documentaries/NBC Universal and “Zelenskyy: The Man Who Took on Putin” for Channel 4. Her years of experience producing critically-acclaimed documentaries in the US and UK has given Elaine a vast understanding of producing internationally.
Shelley Steagall, Producer – Investigative Research
Shelley Steagall's love of storytelling, research and fact-finding can be traced back to her "inquisitive, question everything" grammar school days right through high school and college years. After college, where she majored in Journalism, she spent years as a producer for CBS and FOX affiliates producing daily newscasts and a wide array of investigative specials. She would go on to ABC as the producer and story editor for top rated talk shows.
Walter Lamar - Crime & Investigation
Walter Lamar has 25 years of law enforcement experience as a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Law Enforcement, and Senior Advisor to the Department of the Interior’s Office of Law Enforcement and Security. Mr. Lamar is an enrolled tribal member of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana and descendant of the Wichita Tribe of Oklahoma. Following his retirement from federal service, Walter founded Lamar Associates, a professional services firm specializing in risk management, law enforcement training, community policing, and drug/gang awareness and prevention with a special focus on Indian Country. Since its founding, the company has conducted investigations, assessments, and training services for clients located across the nation as well as the National Indian Gaming Association, the National Indian Gaming Commission, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Indian Education, the Department of the Interior – Office of the Special Trustee, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, He has worked with over 50 tribal administrations. He joined 43films in 2014 with the precise intent to develop projects that celebrate our native culture, traditions and way of life.
John Ligato - Producer - Military Advisor
As a Producer/Consultant, John Ligato’s diverse background in the military and law enforcement make him an integral member of the 43Films’ creative team as he is uniquely qualified to ensure authenticity and accuracy in every story we bring to the screen. A South Philly native, John is a former Marine who fought in Vietnam and was involved the 1968 TET offensive. He has three Purple Hearts and has been inducted into the Marine Corps Museum. Upon leaving the service, he joined the FBI and became a deep undercover agent for 20 years, 8 of which were spent working on organized crime and narcotics investigations. The 2006 movie 10th and Wolf was loosely based on his life. He is the author of multiple books detailing his undercover experiences including, Lerza’s Lives and Dirty Boys.
